SUMMARY:AHSCA Queensland Webinar - 21 July 2020
DESCRIPTION:AHSCA Queensland Chapter \nWebinar \n  \nDate:  Tuesday 21 July 2020 \nTime:  5.30pm – 6.30pm \n  \nQFES will provide a presentation covering/providing guidance on the following: \n  \n\nHow does the QFES review FPAA101D sprinkler and dry hydrant designs and is there a list of deviations/additional design requirements over and above the FPAA101D.\nHow does the QFES approach combined flows for hydrant and sprinkler systems where AS2118.1-2017 exempts carpark sprinkler systems from inclusion in the hydraulic flow demand for hydrant systems.\nIt has been noted that QFES are issuing ‘not suitable’ notices for existing hydrant systems even though they may comply for unassisted flow and pressure the requirements of when the building was originally certified.  We understand that these ‘not suitable’ notices are issues with systems that cannot be boosted by a brigade appliance. How should we as designers address the requirements of the QFES requirements with building approved before the adoption of the BCA in Queensland?  This refers to the instances where the Building Act does not trigger an upgrade to current standards.\n\n  \nTopic:    Working with Small Bore Macerators\, Grey Water Pumps & Lifting Stations \nPresenter: Nick Moore\, National Business Development Manager\, Saniflo \nPresentation Summary: Saniflo has developed a technical presentation covering: 1. when & where a pump would be used; 2. pump selection; 3. understanding pump curves and effects of friction loss; and 4. Pump line installation including materials and fittings\, venting and pipe sizing of discharge lines. \n  \nRegistration:  This webinar is free of charge to all.  To access the Webinar\, open-up the link below (when the meeting is ‘open’\, ie from 5.20pm or so on the 21st – having pre-opened the free Microsoft Teams App): \n________________________________________________________________________________ \nJoin Microsoft Teams Meeting \nLearn more about Teams | Meeting options \n  \n  \n  \n
