DESCRIPTION:The Association of Hydraulic Services Consultants Australia \nQueensland Chapter Inc \nMembers Networking Night \nThursday 23 May 2024 \n5.30pm (drinks and canapes) for a 6.00pm start through to 8.30pm \nStone & Wood\, 99 Bridge St\, Fortitude Valley \n  \nSponsored by: \n \nFormat\, Venue and Function Information \nJoin us for our second industry networking night for the year. \n  \n5.30pm-6.00pm – arrival\, networking\, first drink on AHSCA Qld and ACO and canapes \n6.00pm–6.15pm – AHSCA Qld President will provide a welcome and high-level/news update \n6.15pm-6.30pm – a what’s new update from ACO \n6.30pm-7.15pm – guest speaker (professional indemnity insurance)\, inc Q&A \n7.15pm-8.15pm – drinks (at your cost)\, food\, networking \n  \nOur venue for this function is:  Stone & Wood\, 99 Bridge St\, Fortitude Valley.  The brewery is set inside the heritage-listed Trails Ice building\, serving-up Stone & Wood exclusive Brisbane brews and exceptional food in an innovative\, industrial space.  Stone & Wood Brisbane boasts an 8-hectolitre brewhouse and 24 taps and for those not on the froth\, they stock an amazing selection of wines\, ginger beers and Brookie’s gin and tonics. \n  \nThis event attracts 1 x CPD point for AHSCA Qld Chapter consultant members. \n  \nIndustry Update – ACO \nACO will provide a short\, sharp and interesting “what’s new” update\, with the opportunity for you to ask questions. \n  \nGuest Speaker – General Liability vs Professional Indemnity \nRay Windsor\, Director\, Four Pillars Risk Advisory\, will talk about the: \n  \n\nThe need to be insured\nThe types of insurance that businesses need to consider\nProfessional Indemnity insurance for individuals to be covered for errors and omissions in performing their job\n\n  \nRay has been in the insurance industry since 1992\, changing from Insurance Underwriting to Insurance Broking in 1996.  He was named the Qld Practicing Broker of the Year in 2003.  He has run his own business (Four Pillars Risk Advisory) since 2020. Ray played professional AFL football for Brisbane Bears from 1989 (as a 17 year old) to 1993 when delisted by Brisbane and then played in South Australia for Central Districts for two years.  He then came back to Qld and played in the 1996 premiership team with West Brisbane and retired at 24 years of age. \n  \nRSVP \nFor catering purposes\, an RSVP is essential.  Please confirm your attendance by letting us know in a reply email\, along with any dietary requirements – don’t forget to add it to your calendar!
