DESCRIPTION:The Association of Hydraulic Services Consultants Australia \nQueensland Chapter Inc \nMembers CPD/Networking Night \n  \nWednesday 26 February 2025 \n5.30pm (drinks and canapes) for a 6.00pm start through to 8.30pm \nSmoked Garage\, 126 Wickham Street\, Fortitude Valley \n  \n\nFormat\, Venue and Function Information \nJoin us for an industry networking night. \n  \n5.30pm-6.00pm – arrival\, networking\, first drink free and canapes \n6.00pm–6.15pm – AHSCA Qld President will provide a welcome and high-level/news update \n6.15pm-6.30pm – a what’s new update from our event sponsor/s \n6.30pm-7.15pm – guest speaker on Changes to AS/NZS 3500 Plumbing and Drainage \n7.15pm-8.15pm – drinks (at your cost)\, light dinner\, networking \n  \nOur venue for this function is Smoked Garage\, 126 Wickham Street\, Fortitude Valley. \n  \nThis event attracts 1 x CPD point for AHSCA Qld Chapter consultant members. \n  \nGuest Speaker – Changes to AS/NZS 3500 Plumbing and Drainage \nWe are excited to kick-off the year with our first function for the Association with a special presentation from Tom Roberts from ICC.  Tom is the Chair of Standards Australia WS014 committee\, responsible for the AS/NZS 3500 Standards.  This is a rare opportunity to hear the insights from Tom who will provide: \n  \n\nA brief overview of the areas of change in the next edition of the AS/NZS 3500 series;\nDiscuss potential areas for future change with AHSCA Qld members and\,\nInstruct on how to initiate changes to future editions of Australian Standards.\nPresent two Standards currently being developed by ICC:\n\nICC 815\, Standard for Sizing Water Distribution\, Sanitary Drainage and Vent Piping Systems\nICC 825\, Private Sewage Disposal Systems\n\n\n\n  \nTom is the Global Director for plumbing\, mechanical and gas with the International Code Council (ICC) and is the Chair of Standards Australia’s WS-014 committee\, responsible for the AS/NZS 3500 standards. Tom has extensive background domestic and international construction legislation\, codes and standards and has over 10 year’s experience with the Australian Federal Government\, having previously served as the Director responsible for the Plumbing Code of Australia with the Australian Building Codes Board. \n  \nRSVP \nHope you can join us for what will no doubt be an informative and engaging evening.  For catering purposes\, an RSVP is essential.  Please confirm your attendance by letting us know in a reply email\, along with any dietary requirements – don’t forget to add it to your calendar!
