DESCRIPTION:Members CPD/Networking Function \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThursday 14 May 2026 \n5.30pm (drinks and networking) for a 6.00pm start through to 8.00pm \nBrewDog\, 235 Brunswick St\, Fortitude Valley \n  \nPresentation:  Sanitary Air Transients – Aerosols and Pathogen \nTom Wise\, Director\, Advisory and Engineering\, H2WISE Pty Ltd \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe presentation will explore the fundamental phenomena of sanitary plumbing air pressure transients and how they can compromise water seals within drainage systems. It will examine how these transient pressure events may allow contaminated air and aerosols to escape unnoticed into occupied spaces\, with implications for health\, compliance and system design. \n  \nTom is a hydraulic advisory and engineering consultant working across healthcare and life sciences. He contributes to industry Standards and technical committees both nationally and internationally\, including as technical lead for the ABCB PCA heated water group and lead of the ICC 815 water services sub-working group. \n  \nBrewDog is on Brunswick Street\, Fortitude Valley directly opposite the train station.  It is a beautiful heritage-listed building with 20 taps on each floor\, across three levels of craft beer heaven\, shuffleboards\, pinball and epic farm-to-table bar food (50% plant based). \n  \nDrinks and food (first drink free\, then cash bar) will be provided. \n  \nThis function attracts 1 x CPD point for AHSCA Qld Chapter consultant members. \n  \nRSVP \nHope you can join us for what will no doubt be an informative and engaging evening.  For catering purposes\, an RSVP is essential.  Please confirm your attendance by letting us know in a reply email\, along with any dietary requirements – don’t forget to add it to your calendar!
