Moving the Plant Room to the Point of Use – why the last meter is where waterborne pathogen control is finally won

Thermal management, chlorine dosing, copper-silver ionisation, filtration, and UV at point of entry — the hydraulic industry has spent decades managing waterborne pathogens from the plant room outward, yet Legionella still kills people in our hospitals and aged-care facilities. The problem has never been the plant room. It’s the last meter—the section of pipework no upstream intervention can reliably protect. In this session, GenAqua Founder, Scott Goulter, will present the clinical evidence, the engineering logic, and the real-world results from a Brisbane hospital that make the case for a fundamental shift in how we think about water safety. UVC LED disinfection at the point of use isn’t a supplement to a WRMP — it’s the missing layer that makes the rest of it work.

Presented by Scott Goulter, Founder and Managing Director of GenAqua.
